The paper Evaluating Query and Storage Strategies for RDF Archives studies how to measure the performance of RDF databases. HDTQ: Managing RDF Datasets in Compressed Space presents a compact representation of RDF as 4-tuples that can be efficiently queried.

Our paper ‘Designing a GDPR-compliant and Usable Privacy Dashboard’ will be published, with enhancements, in the IFIP series.
A workshop on Linked Data and Privacy, jointly organized by W3C and SPECIAL, and hosted by the Vienna University of Economics and Business, will take place on 17 & 18 April 2018 (new dates!)
SPECIAL takes part in a workshop by the University of Exeter on November 15.

Vienna University of Economics and Business is looking for a staff member (a master student or PhD student) to work, among other things, on the SPECIAL project.
The paper Transparent Personal Data Processing: The Road Ahead, by four members of the SPECIAL project, has been accepted for presentation at TELERISE 2017. The paper discusses ideas around the use of a log, or ledger, to keep track of personal data and who it is shared with.
The seminar of June 25–30, 2017 at the famous Schloss Dagstuhl in Germany was titled ‘Federated Semantic Data Management’. SPECIAL's Sabrina Kirrane and Piero Bonatti took part. Their talk, simply called ‘SPECIAL’, presented the aims of the project.
